The Transformers: The Movie

Released 40 years ago, Transformers: The Movie is most (in)famous for making children cry, all so that Hasbro could sell them more action figures! (Also, a kid randomly curses in the movie)

Released August 8, 1986, and being re-released this year with the tag ‘Apology Tour‘ (too soon Hasbro, too soon), let’s focus on some covers of the songs from the movie. Most of the music was very 80’s rock, and many of the covers songs keep that vibe, but PostmodernJukebox gives us something different from their album Saturday Morning Slow Jams

Stan Bush’s song ‘The Touch’ has a great cover by Jonathan Young;

and here’s ‘Dare to Be Stupid’ originally by “Weird Al” Yankovic covered by MC Lars and BEES!

and we have one more cover of Lion’s Transformers theme by Filipino singer and songwriter Sheryn Regis;
