Let’s take a look at more of the best Disney movie music! That’s ‘best’ according to the Academy that is . . .

Today we’ll showcase a cover of the songs from Disney (partially and non-animated) movies that won the Academy Award for best song! First up are a couple moves that mix live action and animation, starting with ‘Zip-a-dee-doo-dah’ from 1946’s Song of the South – covered by The Jackson 5!

and in 1964, ‘Chim Chim Cher-ee’ from Mary Poppins won. Covered her by  Kat Edmonson from her album Dreamers Do

‘Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man)’ from the 1990 Touchstone Pictures film, Dick Tracy  is covered by Bernadette Peters on her album Sondheim, Etc

And the most recent win was in 2012. The Muppets “Man Or Muppet” is covered here by Brian Hull and Chris Villain
