It’s a Small Word

Just like Mads Mikkelsen, the CN Tower, and the best Mustang, It’s a Small World is turning 60 Years old!

It’s a Small Word was moved from the World’s Fair to Disneyland California in May of 1966. Millions of people have been singing along ever since, and we aren’t about to stop now. Here’s punk band H2o’s cover to get us started;

Next is a dramatic reading by two members of the Electric Mayhem, Animal and Floyd

here’s a lovely duet with Sayoko on violin and Asami on piano

and last song for today is a medley (bonus song!) by Etta James;  ‘It’s a Small World / When You Wish Upon A Star’ from the album Disney’s Music From the Park

Richard and Robert Sherman’s musical legacy and what they bring to the attraction can’t be denied, but I also want to highlight two more people that helped make the worlds most famouse cruise; design by Mary Blair and costumes by Alice Davis
